I Left my Heart at the Gulf

Endless Beauty

Hello again lovelies.

So, here is my 2nd beach post! These photos were all taken on the same day, but 2 different beaches. I traveled to Navarre, Florida for my birthday in early September. There was a bay beach called the Santa Rosa Sound as well as miles of a typical ocean beach with waves flowing in from the Gulf of Mexico. It was neat being able to experience a few different beaches within such a close proximity of each other! The bay was very serene and calm in contrast to the bustling water spilling in from the Gulf.

Bikini Beach

Since Navarre Beach is located on Santa Rosa Island, we got to drive miles down the beach and see so much openness and beauty. It really was such a calm and relaxing beach, & not too over-saturated with tourists or condos. For this day on the beach I opted for a simple mix-match bikini and my gorgeous American Gypsy Vintage kimono. I layered a few simplistic necklaces, ZeroUV sunnies and a floppy hat from Forever 21 to complete my look. Our first day on the beach was a rough one with many unexpected surprises! My awkward sunburn being one of them, for sure... Typical Kentucky girl in Florida.

Needless to say, we cannot wait to go back! Already planning another trip ASAP for next year. I will be beach dreamin' until then...bring on the winter!

I Spent my Birthday at the Beach

Hey Beauties!

This is the first of a few Florida posts to come! I road-tripped to Florida this year in the beginning of September. It was such a memorable & beautiful adventure! Mainly I wanted to do something for myself for my 26th birthday...and it was way overdue! I am pretty much obsessed with the ocean and anything beach related. The beach has no equal. I am already planning my next trip and this time it will be for WAY longer! I took so many awesome photos and relaxed endlessly to my souls content. I definitely left there with a full heart, yet yearning for much more. One of my dreams is to one day own my own beach house! There would be nothing better!

Birthday on the Pier

We shot these photos on my actual birthday, and this was my quirky outfit of choice to celebrate in! It was such a fun and chill day. It was well spent, just roaming around exploring, drink in hand and the sound of the ocean in the background...

I am wearing my pleated, SheInside pinafore. I decided to layer it over my moms vintage crop top (you have seen this top on here before!). I accessorized it with my go-to hat from H&M and black cut-out booties from MaterialGirl. Lastly, I decided to block out that heavy Florida sunlight with my awesome wolf-inspired shades from ZeroUV. I found my dope crocheted fringe bag on sale at Target earlier in the Summer. My black choker necklace is from my girl Julia Weber's line DAZEY, and it is seriously the perfect 90's-esque layering piece!
