Ruby Red Kiss

Hello again dolls! I am so happy I am able to update my blog again so soon, I am going to try my hardest to stay on top of it. Expressing myself in this form means WAY too much to me to just half ass it! That being said, expect more and more updates as this year proceeds. I am in the midst of making some positive changes in my life in regards to my dreams. I need to stay motivated and productive; and this is the perfect outlet for me to do it.

I laid out a few aspects of my outfit above, I was still putting together the full look when I shot these; but I knew what I wanted my key pieces to be. Piling on the layers is usually a pretty go-to thing for me while getting dressed. Especially in the winter! I love the details that form in the process of doing so. A few key aspects of this outfit: red, white (cream?) and blue! One of my favorite classic color combinations, Patriotic, right?

This is my first time shooting in my new boots from TjMaxx! I found them on sale, which is always awesome. I have been dying for a low heel, lace up bootie; especially in brown! A very simple and classic shoe style that could easily be a staple in my wardrobe for years to come. They are so versatile in ways to style!

I layered up my mothers classic denim jacket under my Forever21 faux fur vest, which you have already seen in a previous post. Adding a vest seriously improves staying warm when facing the cold winds! All the while making a regular coat that much more chic ;-)

My striped top is from H&M, and I originally purchased it as a turtle neck dress a few years back (kicking myself a bit now for cutting out the high neck) but it still works! I still love the navy stripes and the off the shoulder look brings a little sass to it, and you know I love a little sass.

My high waist jeans you have already seen as well. They are from Forever21 as well and are quickly becoming my preferred pair of pants! As for my belt, bag, and scarf tied to my bag, are all vintage. I adore the pop of color that any perfect accessory can add to an outfit! My gold layered necklace is thrifted and my choker is from a local flea market. As for my makeup, I kept it clean with just mascara and a bold lip. I got this lip color after combining my hot pink and neon orange shades to make a pretty reddish color, both lipstick brands are CoverGirl.

Reunited & it feels so good...

Hello darlings! I am so very sorry about the lack of updates lately. It is really hard blogging without accessible wifi from my own place. So, I have been using other peoples interwebs as well as frequenting coffee shops & cafes more often! It also does not help that my laptop is literally about to bite the dust. Its from 2007, after all, and it will barely work! So, here I am now. Using my boyfriends wifi and computer, and just dying to update this thing.

I took these a few nights ago, opting for my favorite inside location since it has been below freezing everyday lately. I know I am only an echo with this statement...but I am ready for Spring and Summer! Bring on less layers and exposed skin... I am ready for it.

Details include a few items you have seen previously. My adorable cream maxi cardigan, my pants and top are all from Forever 21. The top I have had for years, and I decided to dust it off for the first time in awhile when I wore it here. The booties are Chinese Laundry and thrifted years ago. My accessories are from random places, flea markets & thrift stores. The fringe necklace was my mothers and is literally one of my favorite pieces to date.

Out of all of the trends that have swung back around lately, I have to say I adore high waisted ANYTHING the most! Its just very flattering in my eyes and I love the nod it gives to the traditional silhouette of a woman. Its very subtly sexy! My feels go the same for low cut tops and peeks of exposed undergarments. Just a little bit of spice to take you to that classy vamp level ;-) I have also been quite obsessed with having darker lips! I love mixing my regular shades with this deep brown shade I picked up not too long ago. I love the contrast it brings to my skin since I am so very pale. I believe the brand is CoverGirl, every girls go-to affordable brand, am I right!?

I am also getting pretty sick of this pink hair as of late, this dye is the slowest to ever wash out of my hair! I have a few ideas for my hair that you will probably be seeing on here very soon! Don't forget that you can always keep up with my daily vibes by checking out my Instagram or Tumblr. I am always on these social networks the most because they are easily accessible via my iPhone.
